That's Volume 2 almost wrapped up, just working on the bonus now, which has been a right pain for cleaning (you'll see what I mean), but just got the speech bubbles to translate now.

Been interesting working on this manga so far. One of the fun things I've noticed is that minerals that have been known for a long time tend to have proper kanji names, while more recent ones only have kana that are Japanese-made English (e.g. iron 鉄, copper 銅, gold 金, chromium クロム kuromu, cobalt コバルト kobaruto, tungsten タングステン tangusuten).

As for the anime, this chapter should be one of the last episodes, although the author did state that the anime deviates a bit from the manga (in a good way).

So, the anime will cover the first two volumes, but with some differences to make it more interesting for those who have already read the manga?

From the official site, "Colorful and beautiful minerals and depictions of nature that could not be fully expressed in manga. There seem to be many elements unique to anime that even the person drawing it can be excited about.". So a bit vague, could only be colours, but it seems like the pacing and character intros could be changed a bit too (makes sense since Shouko and Aoi are in the cast list, even though they're not in the manga yet)

The new trailer for the anime did an AMAZING job portraying Nagi san
The anime will have an incredible mix of soft and curvy wonders with solid and sharp edged gems lol
Yeah, and that final trailer scene with Shouko and Imari is in the first chapter of Vol. 3.

Thank you! You and the active readers here helped me form a very detailed opinion about the title before the adaptation premiered!

You knew things were about to get serious when Nagi and Ruri pulled out the hair ties!

Thanks for translating this! This manga did a very good job turning a boring field excited! Now I can understand some people who are so passionate about geology. Maybe it's not as exciting as this manga in real life but lots of respect to those researchers

I love seeing Ruri's passion slowly bloom. I do kinda wanna see her family/friends reactions to what she's discovered.

Really appreciate Ruri's character development. She's gone from being disinterested in the finer aspects of each mineral she uncovers to gradually appreciating them.

And the author continues to provide insightful information about mineralogy in a manner that's relatively easy to digest for those who aren't well versed in that area of expertise (like me).
