Same man. I don’t understand them. There’s no subtle foreshadowing of a bad ending. From the start of the manga, we already know Ayano is a lonely person and Isshiki is an anxious one, nothing new.

Instead, in this chapter, I see them as a perfect couple. With Isshiki around, Ayano no longer feels lonely. And the scene where Ayano tries to soothe Isshiki is a heartwarming moment. That’s what I’d call subtle foreshadowing of a good ending!

Maybe people just want to be dramatic by saying it's going to be a bad end? 🤔

Obviously, cuz he was startled about the situation (confronting the stalker and having to report it to the school officials, while also thinking of how he can protect Ayano better in the future)

After this, her Mother has lost all hopes of redemption in my eyes. I hope the author doesn't bring her in later on and then tries to repair their relationship, a mother who couldn't come to her Daughter's side after such a horrific incident is no Mother at all and can never be one.

I like this setup better (MC can take up that role as her stand in guardian). Over time, the story / relationship can develop easier this way, but I'm also unsure what will come of their relationship, given the obvious.

Man it's a good thing I wasn't in Fumi's shoes. I would've started swinging. Japanese culture is just not for me as a red blooded American. I would've been sued for assault in seeing actual injustice in front of me and started swinging.

Honestly, with all those kids around, thats prob the worst thing you could do. Esp showing Ayano and her friend how violent you can become. I wish he had just grabbed and apprehended him (or at least tried and get socked in the face). Cuz then Ayano would see how far he's willing to go to protect her.

You should know that no person ever has been impressed by keyboard warriors saying what they would've done in such situations.

Fr, they don't even consider ur reputation after the fact. Not only will u have a criminal record, u might even get fired. And Ayano will realize how violent you are. If someone recorded that and posted it to the internet, both their careers could be in jeopardy. The most u can realistically do, is coerce them into deleting the photo, or somehow stalling the dude before the cops arrive.
