I've just binged this series after discovering this a year or so ago via a meme and finally I've read it all and damn this is pretty amazing, there's some stuff I didn't like especially the comments being so typical and immediately just forgetting why he's like that and who he is as a person kind on a certain part of a couple of chapters but otherwise it's awesome and the art combined with the writing was superb, hopefully this continues and sells well because now I'm too invested!

I think there's some subtle characterization in Fumi slowly becoming a car guy. He wasn't ever in to ANYTHING before, remember? But now he's become a bit of a car guy, buying a manual and talking about kitting it out with additional stuff. He's stepping into himself, finding things he likes.
Won't help his image one bit if this Ayano thing gets out, though. He's accidentally become a stereotype here, picking up teen girls with a flashy car. The ice is thin, Fumi.

It's been there since the beginning honestly, when I first saw his car I immediately went "wait", so much detail put into it I immediately recognize it lol, iirc his friend got him into cars(he never cared about them before.) while he was recovering from the incident.
