The handguard itself seems to just be a Geissele, but I'm nowhere near autistic enough to confirm that. SOPMOD, btw, is not a different weapon, just different suites of accessories for M4A1 carbines (among other platforms). Oh and that scope is not SOPMOD Block I or II-compliant, probably why he labels it Block III, lmao.

TL;DR : this is just a customized M4A1. This is not a firepower upgrade in any way.

Zol regenerates from it either way, so it almost doesn't matter. Honestly, his best option probably is to stick with something that's lightweight, handy, and tuned for low recoil, and then make up for it with the ammo.

The AR can obviously immobilize him, at least for a few seconds. Unless Zol can regrow his head, immobilize him with the AR, then 12-gauge slug with one of his shotguns, or .50AE to the face. Airsoft nut that he is, surely he has a Desert Eagle in there somewhere. That spiral staircase would've been perfect for the task.

You're wrong. Look up the URGI program. It's in use with SF as mentioned in the manga, and is indeed issued with an LPVO. You're correct in that there's no "firepower" increase, but the nomenclature is correct. It has been called the Block III upgrade at times as well, but URGI is the more common parlance.

I've personally never heard URG-I called Block III, and my admittedly cursory search never referred to URG-I as Block III by anyone other than certain individuals (typically airsofters or people selling to them), and definitely not in any official capacity. I am most certainly not noguns, and while I'm not dismissing the possibility of Dunning-Kruger, I'm no expert, this was totally uncalled for. As if everything else I brought up was invalid because "ACKSHULLY URG-I IS BLOCK III XD".
