In fact even in pure dating sims you might still get a sort of bad end by not ending up with any of the target characters, though it might be more unlikely than the sudden bad ends in VNs with more action, including deaths.

Because on the main page, the series is still listed as ongoing.
I can see how this could be the beginning of an axe, we are just shy of chapter 20 right now, which is around where the danger zone really starts, but maybe it's just a coincidence? I swear I'm not coping with delusions!

Anytime a series seems to all of a sudden be wrapping up that's usually an indication of it being axed. Situations like this are actually the lucky ones. At least this one's going to have a couple chapters to try to wrap it all up real quick. There was one time that a series I read got axed in the middle of a battle.
