When she out from this comand spell become obidient wife she is definitely gonna preparing another betrayal too
Thing is, she literally can't come out of his command spell until she achieves said command, which is to become his loyal wife; to become her own person again, she has to genuinely love him and give up any thoughts of betrayal permanently.

If she comes out of it and has a thought of betraying him, that'd be disloyal and she'd immediately be placed back under the command; that's just the way her class works.

I almost feel like it'd be less fucked up to just kill her and move on to the saint being the new main girl.

ah, yes. The obligatory mind control the moment a woman does something you don’t like
Bro, she tried to kill him. If you're suicidal I guess you'd like that but the majority of humans don't like the idea of being killed, regardless of gender.

She have seen a chance and she decided to take it, In a certain way Shizuka gained points for me.
Is certainly a much more interesting character than a big boobed bimbo devoted only to make the protagonist cum. She think for herself, she have her own goals. She don't make the protagonist the center of her universe, her only reason to live. That absolute devotion is kind of cringe.
But i wonder what benefit the skill she stole from the saint is going to have for her plan. I doubt that she wanted divine protection only cause she believed that Haruki would kill her.

This completely assassinated her entire character, this may as well be a new character.
Are you sure? I think that was kind of foreshadowed already. Not the betrayal, but the fact that she was not completely devoted, and even kind of cold hearted if necessary.

Why force a girl that dislikes you to become your wife? I could understand if he made her a slave... but a forced wife? That empty AF... a partner that it's a hollow husk or a psycho that wants to kill you is awful in any way.
She don't dislike him. Her goal was to reverse their roles. Not cause of hatred. If you think about it to be a "slave" is kind of frustrating. She had the chance to become the master, to obtain a power that would make her able to not depend on anyone, and she tried it.
I don't approve but i understand.

Difference is that in Redo the story makes no attempt to hide that what he does is evil. He does not gaslight himself into being the "good guy" like the MC of this story does.

The protag of Redo knows he is doing evil and relishes in it without any bullshit. (Well, in the beginning of the story at least.)
Yep... What I meant is that by the time he crashes down, people treat it like he's the only villain when he's not even the first villain introduced and his descent to evil is not "justified" but at least understandable.

Ironically later in the manga he develops a real caring relationship even with the brainwashed ones and gets some of his humanity back thanks to that, sadly to some people that also means being a simp or something.

What a dumb plot point. They had good chemistry going for them after all this time. This is an unequivocally character assassination out of nowhere.

I feel that reading CN novels desensitized me to these types of plotlines. Oh, she betrayed - death or slavery it is then.

I think it clearly shows that MC is no longer human - he doesn't care about his classmates at all, he doesn't care about the girl he loves betraying him, he's more bothered by the fact that he liked her character better before, than about the betrayal itself or enslaving her. He takes what he wants by any means and moves on. He is a xianxia protag now - categorizing people into my people, useful people, and useless people. Protect my people, use useful people, ignore or kill useless people.

she didn't want to kill him,.she just want to make Mc her pet. did she forget that other women have far worse when their male partners fail to achieve enough points? those women get raped by guard and use as cum dump.
she lucky MC us strong and love her. he even share his power to her and give her privilege to be herself.
she just sociopath that will betray you went you no longer useful.

she basically poor woman that married for rich guy for his money, the moment she have his money, she cheated and left that man to street and she find new boy toy.

she not frustrated, she ungrateful, MC is loyal to she, give her everything and shared a experience and power to her. but she repay him by want to usurp him and make him sex slave to her.

if its me, i took back all her power have chancellor remade slave pact to her again. then left him with any weak male partner. when that man fail to enough points, lets her be cum dump.

And that's why you never bite the hand that feeds you.

Especially if said hand belongs to an OP character.

The story was fucked up from the very first chapter - women were being made into the slave class, given aphrodisiac, and threatened with rape. Brainwashing as a consequence for rebelling against her master is just the train wreck I was expecting.

But yeah, I'm incredibly confused about her plan; If she had managed to usurp the ripper ability she'd have ended without agency because the chancellor could enforce absolute command over slaves. Even without the whole "slave cannot harm their master" I'm surprised that apparently wisdom vetted the plan to use delegated slashes in order to usurp ripper itself. I guess that means the MC can actually usurp his ripper ability itself and grant it to someone else? Also, she's expecting the slash reserves to attack anyone who approaches with malice, but has MC ever shown malice to anyone, and would he ever show malice to the woman he loves?

I'm surprised ripper couldn't remove the slave class entirely and maybe replace it with something else. But most likely the MC wanted to keep her on a leash.

So yeah, they're both pretty disgusting.

I Wonder if it would been better if he gave her the choice to leave before destroying her free will
: cut 2 space rifts
  • one to their former world (so she can go their and finally be safe since they probably won't be able to use their power there so even he would try to get revenge he won't be able to)
  • the other the farthest place to their current place so she can teleport from there he won't be able to follow her (she would be able her thirst for power as long she never meet him again)

And tell this: go through one of those portals or stay here and face your punishment

MC's mental trait he had even before coming to this world is always keeping and sound mind and never be sway by anyone or anything (which, including, dangerous or stressful situations, or the abnormality of this parallel world)
So in here, he is the only normal mane from our world standards in a abnormal world who made every others people abnormal to adapt and survive.

The problem here is that mental trait also influenced her partner and wife.
So Shizuka's mind is stuck in a deadly lock between this world who forces to go abnormal to adapt and her husband trait she affects her by following him that keeps sane and normal.
And that deadly battle give her so much stress in her daily life that she develops and stomach ulcer, which is also why from the next chapter onwards you will see her throw up blood every time she see another girl flirt with her husband.
That mental battle is also the unconscious and true reason of she try to betray him so she can finally escape that mental pain.

With the current effect of Haruki absolute order the scale tips with her husband keeps her normal that also why she unconsciously still trying to rebel to stay in that subjugated state and stuck again between the to forces in her mind.

CF : volume 2, chapter 14 of the web novel.
(From the way, the author ends the 2nd volume, the next seemed to the last one, but the b@stard gave up after ending volume 2)

Author-san, you really should have found a better reason than that.
