She was killed by her daughter because our protagonist botched a coup that had, by that point, gotten the rest of the family killed. By that point the daughter was more or less justified in killing her.I still don't get her. If she's worried about getting killed by her daughter (4th child) then make sure to always use contraceptive after giving birth to the 3rd child? Or if she's being born anyway then just be a decent person? Teach your kid properly? Be a good parent?
The implication is that even though it didn't directly get her killed, it had negative effects in the long run that we aren't privy to yet.Why wouldn't she just take the Magic Tower's market share? She won last time, why should she care? It wasn't what caused her death
The pacing 💀

So her 'best friend' that she ran up and hugged... she didn't bother responding to the letters of, for a year?...
This character just seems so inconsistent. She still seems like a selfish villain, yet none of her actions (even if we account for her being cautious) seem consistent with that. Why wouldn't she just take the Magic Tower's market share? She won last time, why should she care? It wasn't what caused her death, and probably made her family very wealthy.
It's an interesting read, but the MC is the worst part, for me, so far.

"A hug this tight should be reserved for your husband." Followed closely by a panel showing just their lips very close together. Hmmmm...
