There's a reason they say wealth only lasts three generations: The first generation builds the wealth, the second generation watched the wealth get built and understands how to build more of it, the third generation only understands that there is wealth and can only maintain it.

Here we see the fourth generation, who believes the wealth will last forever without being maintained and will squander it. Jinya only knows they have a village, and knows nothing of why they have a village or what it took to build it, and believes they will have it forever. If he has his way, they will lose the village and gain nothing in return.

God I hate arrogant villains. Didn’t you put in work to get where you are? You should know not to rest on your laurels. He thinks capturing someone who can see the future, and “restraining” a hero(which, I guess he doesn’t know, but still) who can punch a dragon will guarantee he’s won? Hello?
Are you insane!?

It's not just arrogant villains, the whole village arc is just meh. Annoying even.
They will probably explain that Usato didn't fight because his mana is drained next chapter or something but after a brief rest he will still force his way out.
And I can bet that demons will steal past hero sword to give it to the totally-not-said-hero demon lord which will turn out to be some super important artifact for some super evil thing.
Meh.
Thanks for the chapters tho'!

I see no reason why they had to accept capture there, it's not like Usato could lose to poisoned arrows even if he wanted to.
And with the village joining the demons, it would be best to just beat the shit out of everyone quickly and avoid any future complications that comes with waiting to long.

???? is she stupid? she knows he could have beat them up really bad
They where aiming for her mother, the MC points it out in his mind even that no matter how fast he is he has no guarantee to protect her.
But man ... I read the raws so I knew what would happen but I still want to feed that bastard a bucket of chocolate and see if he has that Carnivore trait.

Lemme guess, Jinya then gets betrayed by the demons when it's all too late?
I don't know, the demons seem like they do have feelings and a consciousness of some sort. They care for comrades, they can feel affection, and they can even mourn the lost. We don't know if it's strictly unique to a few or if it's specifically for members of their race. They could genuinely be aligned with the beast folk now and it would be a bit of a waste to lose an ally who can divide the united forces of the enemy nations.

I wonder what Jinya's objective with Amako is. He appears to be claiming it is different from the precognition device. That device is quite dangerous honestly; if Kanoko succeeded and Jinya or the demons could use the device at will it would grant them an advantage in war.

I can't say I don't understand why the beastfolk are allying with the demons; humans haven't shown themselves to be good allies in times of peace. War against humans will only make relations worse however.

I wonder what the demons proposed and if they'll keep their word. Apparently, all the other chiefs are in favour of war so it won't be possible to stop this alliance just by taking down Jinya. I doubt the demons would just break the alliance early and backstab them until after the war either, since the beastfolk have agreed to fight against the humans and why would they say no to more cannon fodder?

In any case, an alliance with a greater power doesn't work and my understanding is that the human nations and the demons represent great powers while the beastfolk villages are minor powers. It would hardly be surprising for demons to turn on beastfolk once the war is won.
