I’m feeling pretty underwhelmed with this playing out pretty much exactly like the main universe so far, but I wonder how it would feel to read this without having read the normal iruma-kun first. Would this feel like a cool twist or would it come completely out of nowhere?

Kiriwo's expression to Iruma: Let's commit suicide together Iruma-kun.

Me: I don't know why he brought up a line that Dazai Osamu uses to court a woman: Join me in a double suicide.

Dazai Osamu from BSD raises his hand and tells Kiriwo that if that boy named Iruma doesn't want to commit suicide with you, can I do it for him? Kiriwo then looks at Dazai as if he's disgusted by him, much like how Kiriwo reacted in the main manga series when Ocho said he made Iruma fall into despair.

I think the demon Kiriwo and the human Kiriwo would get along quite well.
In the main manga series, Iruma, the bombshell, uses her ring magic at full power to break Kiriwo's barrier and thus Iruma saves the school, and considering that Kiriwo is Iruma's nemesis, she had to use her bloodline magic to save Iruma.

In the case of this series, I don't know how Iruma would save people or how Kiriwo would plan to save Iruma.
And if they're going to have me after the main manga series, after Kiriwo's arrest, Iruma meets Azazel Henri, I think that might happen in this manga series too.

In the main series, we would wish nothing more for Iruma to become a literal demon. But in this alternative reality, we don’t even want him to become a figurative demon like this sociopath!

huh, a death pact. well it fits right at home with Kirio's character. it's the right level of obsession and consumption
I do appreciate that these events did help Iruma consolidate his friendships with his 'family,' because it's true that he's never really been in a space that doesn't carry the weight of being the Boss

Even if you hadn't read the original, this wasn't a twist at all, it was foreshadowed heavily in both his introduction chapter and in the chapter with the wine fountain. It's not meant to be surprising, but rather more theatrically messed up. You know he's screwed up in the head, the fun is figuring out how screwed up.
