Huh It feels like MC went overboard on them. I get being pissed off but they seemed more like dumb-asses rather than actually malicious. Hopefully the other jobs the GM was talking about turn out okay.

Thanks for the chapters!

He had the option to confiscate that compensation and hold it as leverage to behave instead of taking it himself. But that relies a lot more on the guild acting as a intermediary so it's not perfect.

I don't think so. MC is lucky he is strong. if he weak, he risked his life only to have they stole that money. if MC weak, he could get beaten up, and lost his money.

dumb is not excuses to do crimes and extortion. you are fucking adult, don't use dumb as excuses. don't forget they are 3 adult ganging on one child. just because he is strong doesn't excuses that stupidity.

The goat has returned!
Having this random guild master in the middle of nowhere not only know about otherworlders but even know a japanese phrase is a very odd choice.

No, I don't like that "gotcha". It instantly broke my suspension of disbelief.

"Otherworld" language? Are only Japanese people getting abducted? Japanese people have been wearing those kinds of clothes for only a few decades, so how many of them have been taken to this world? And how would this guy have met enough of them to identify one? Unless his skill translates any Earth language to Japanese (I don't recall the specifics of the skill) but different languages, and even countries that use the same language, have different idioms, especially across time. Plus Loki didn't start off crazy strong. Sure, more talented than an average adult, but no one from the next town over will have heard of Loki. Unless other isekaiers are given crazy powers or all crash out hard enough to make the national news, I don't know why there would be info floating around about them.

The possibility of this random guild leader learning enough about other isekai'd Japanese-speaking, business-suit wearers to learn their proverbs and recognize habits of "someone who has been transferred to a different world and isn't freaking the fuck out but is trying to assimilate" is too low for that to be regarded as anything other than artifice.

Edit: getting refreshed from the next chapter, it seems like there are significant number of other Terrans kicking around this planet at the same time as Loki, so recognizing him makes more sense.

I do feel like the author wanted to punish them but didn't really know a way to do it that would be both fitting and satisfying so instead went full throttle with it all, to reinforce Loki's demon lord thing.

Granted- they were aiming at a child that they thought they could take advantage or, extort, or harm, so it is important to make sure they receive a fitting punishment.

At the same time...being disbarred from this entire form of work does seem kind of like being disbarred from regular odd jobs work with how wide spread the industry of adventurers guilds is.

Monitoring them, compensation, being forced to work less desirable jobs, being disbarred from promotions...unsure what would've been better but definitely feels like he went further than most villainess leaning but not actively murderous characters tend to go.

He just stop revenge plot by declare 'I won't hesitate to kill' and that is something other MC should do a lot more even it backfires, MC needs backbone and not every MC can ask 'What would hero Himmel do?' and just 'They should die.'
