Ohhhh... I'm seeing it now. It's contrasting Showbiz and the Hostess industry in Japan, both being predicated on women presenting ourselves as untouchable and pure, but also simultaneously accessible, a Schrodinger's virgin/whore complex, for the gratification of men that don't know nor care about our internal lives.

Just as Showbiz is (theoretically but not actually) more classy and upscale than the hostess scene, the hostess industry is (theoretically but not actually) more open and liberatory with regards to personal autonomy, the myths and lies of Japan's commodification of women converge here, with these two women forced to present a safe, heteronormative persona, and punished cruelly by public mockery and risk of destitution when they don't match the illusion.

So everyone talking about NTR isn't right.
Chapter 10 has Io being SAed, and Misa takes it as cheating because, "you like being forced, right?" Hase abused her power to force Io to not immediately resist fully, but that doesn't translate to enjoying or allowing it.
It's all really fucked up, to be honest. Masochists don't want just anyone that can be forceful, and the response was particularly harsh.

Exactly, I feel so bad now for future readers wanting to pick up the manga and being turned off by mentions of NTR when it was a character being SA'd. :(
