love that Myne fully blacked out after being told she couldn’t be a librarian and that Ferdinand countered by telling her she would need to work extra hard to achieve that honor. My man is a top-tier man manipulator!
it's manipulation becauseNot really manipulation and more of 'that's the issue? here's the easy solution (ignore the difficulty level)'
He did it (lord/knight/scholar), therefore it's plausible.
And he'd only give such recommendation if he truly believe it can be done, which in some way shows his trust in Rozemyne's skill.
Another case of 'I think it's possible, so up to you if you wanna do it' solution he give.
it's manipulation because
he's overselling the difficulty. myne easily handles being an archduke and a scholar in the academy even after spending 2 years in a coma but telling her it will take a ton of work/effort means she'll put that work in. She'll study without complaint to the point of coming first in her grade repeatedly. Also, I might be remembering this wrong, but i think they later told her that she couldn't be a librarian because she'll need to work as the archduke's first wife or something
He's not overselling it. 'normal' people would have a hard time juggling two courses at once.
Her reaching 1st consistently has different bait (him praising her)
Don't think she's ever told she can't become librarian outright. Maybe not academy's librarian since that would require changing citizenship, but even as archduke's 1st wife she'd still have authority to change library during her free time.
i don't think part 2 is finished... and if it is the last chapter to come out was only 2 months agoCan't whoever is translating part 3 pick up and finish part 2 so I can start part 3???
Justus managed it. He's both a scholar and attendant.
And it's objectively pretty easy for Rozemyne in particular. Yurgenschmidt's academic level is fairly low (their school year is less than a season, after all), and Archduke Candidates are expected to learn all they need to pass their written lessons at home. The difficulty will come from the practical lessons... because they require mana, which puts limits on practice time. Laynobles need to start saving theirs from infancy. Rozemyne, OTOH, has more mana than some adult Aubs. Add to that that Ferdinand can and will train her at home so she can come back for the Dedication Ritual, and it's obvious she'll have no trouble passing her classes for both courses.
Would that be the first we've seen of him? It would make sense if the others were babyHARTMUT!
