It is rather disappointing that the series managed to have negative character development.
It downright started with him overcoming the challenge of making the best out of what he had available, now, he did not figure out the same solution he had for an earlier chapter and is rather incapable of thinking within what is available.

I know this isn't super common knowledge, but you can make ice in desert or during summer. You need the right conditions, and it's made in small amounts, but totally doable. The ancient Persians did enough, they made special structures for the process
