Yeah the whole story began with ono then went off the rails and was forgottenSatisfying enough ending I guess even though this last leg made no real sense but that's pretty much par for the course for as messy as the writing was overall.
Hey, how come they never revived Fuyumura's gf even though there was a whole arc about getting her body? I mean I'd get not doing that but she was the ignition point of the story and yet it just fizzled with no explanation. I expected some small revelation about her at some point but nothing.
Did she really have a child? Looking through the raws, I thought she was a kindergarten teacher.hmmmm....
I'll be honest, what is the point of telling us Ono could theoretically be brought back to life do nothing with it. Sidelining Fuyumura for nearly 50 chapters and then ending on "yeah she had a kid I guess"
I think Sanda could have been much better if Paru Itagaki had a strict editor to keep her on track rather than the entire visiting gods arc happening.
Are you a virgin?
Sorry… I already did it…
this final chapter literally ended on Sanda looking at the list of children and finding a Fuyumura Ichie 3 years old. with Sanda proclaiming "What!? so this is child is Fuyumura's!?"Did she really have a child? Looking through the raws, I thought she was a kindergarten teacher.
I always thought Paru would probably get along well with Mari Okada and Naoko Yamada. They all have a pretty unique take on Freudian motifs in teenage experience and thinking, lmao. Anyway, I hope the anime can at least cover the manga somehow.Itagaki-sensei you can’t just throw that out at us without explaining anything
And yeah, I get the complaints here. Paru is very… iffy with the endings with her works, but in general I think she just goes “hey wanna hear what messed-up thoughts I have” and just makes it up as she goes along. And ending an improv session is never easy. Even here Sanda just goes “wait, why did I become a vigilante if nobody realizes I’m Santa Claus”
Well, in the end at least Santa got his Mrs. Claus. That has to count for something, right?
And the universe of this manga doesn't have same-sex families with children as some of social fantasy?this final chapter literally ended on Sanda looking at the list of children and finding a Fuyumura Ichie 3 years old. with Sanda proclaiming "What!? so this is child is Fuyumura's!?"

Are you saying that in a manga with the superhero Santa Claus as a metaphor for growing up, the death of one of the characters is a deep metaphor for the problems of growing up too early? This whole story is a very weird drug fueled analogy of growing up.
At no point was the story about Oho because her death is the loss of innocence as she grown up faster and became a adult before she was meant to, at least compared with her classmates as she became alienated so she died, to bring her back is missing the point completely.
