Something like that. Since everyone watching has been observing Ridd completely dominate Reysis, there's two ways this could be interpreted by them:That situation is a "I lose the battle but I won the war" for the MC, isn't?![]()
dem, is that Z Broly dialogue from the movie?

I understand what you're getting at, but there's a huge difference between "I'm scared, I surrender" and "I've actually tried and I can't win, I surrender."R - "I surre..."
MC - "I wont let you surrender"
R - "Yaaahh!!"
MC - "Isn't it about time you surrendered?"
R - "I will never surrender!"
MC - "Fine... I SURRENDER"
me - inhales
based pfpCredit where credit is due, falling over that many times isn't easy
Have been reading WN of this series for a while now, and I'm so glad I did, it brings back the style of novel that hardly ever saw in nowadays mainstream manga/anime, it's actually a weak to strong type of story, but not in a smooth sailing like those popular manga/novel, mc actually train hard, fought formidtable enemies, gone throught meaningful victories and defeats, heavy behind the scense and plot, despite his knowledge cheat, he still strugging and making effort, and most importantly, he's monogamy (as far as I've read, currently ch510)
It's a type of series I haven't read in a while, since the trend now is about strong/cheat character, but there's still a bit of fanservice content in it (shota mc, crossdress, popular mc, etc)
either one of them surrender or the emperor stop itBut they just said only the Emperor can call the match over.
The conditions were surrender OR someone is deemed unable to continue. In this case, only the Emperor is allowed to make that call for the latter. But they just said only the Emperor can call the match over.
I don't think injury is in the cards here; the prince has been getting thrown on the hard ground repeatedly without really doing anything to break his fall and is fine, so he's apparently really sturdy.Something like that. Since everyone watching has been observing Ridd completely dominate Reysis, there's two ways this could be interpreted by them:
1) Ridd is driving the point home that the only way Reysis can win is if he is allowed to
2) Ridd sees that the only way to end the match is to to injure Reysis so seriously that he physically can't continue, but doesn't want to take things that far
Either way, it's an exercise in good sportsmanship, since Ridd either doesn't want to unnecessarily injure his opponent, or doesn't want to participate in a spar that is obviously unfair.
