First, the maid is going above and beyond to resist the call of duty.
Second, the MC totally missed the opportunity to place an oujosama's ohoho laugh after breaking that sword even though she nailed the pose.

But the hero didn't form the party regardless of gender. The only woman in the party was a healer, which is... the classic gender composition of any fantasy party.
Also the author can't even prove that the prince is wrong without making him stupid and evil. Which shows that, like many other modern writers, he is simply projecting his feminist views onto a medieval society. The MC isn't even strong conventionally, he uses magic to train and reinforce his own body. Which shows that strong female warriors is aberration in the setting and advocating for their accommodation will likely have negative consequences. It's the 'Let them eat cake' situation.

Taking an unchained predator like her to a fancy party for rich jerks is bound to be an unmitigated disaster.

Prince Richard is acting like a dick. Unoriginal and a bit too literal, but okay.

Richard is begging for a beatdown.

Performing the rich girl haughty laugh while doing a very tomboy act is one hell of a display.

This alleged prince is a traitor and has earned a coward's death.

Gender roles exist in every society in the real world for a reason and usually protect women.
Incorporating that topic in a world that has magic is bad writing.

They've done this in a rather clumsy way, but that doesn't mean the concept by itself is 'bad writing.'

Also, gender roles can be either good or bad. Depending on what we're talking about.
