address the problems of mass, though. […] a 200-kg pillar
Brother you really shouldn't be going down that train of thoughts. I guess maybe you don't see how ridiculous that is because your intuition is off by more than one order of magnitude ? That pillar is around 40 cm in diameter ? We don't get a view of its entire length here but going back to
chapter 6, it's quite more than twice her height, four probably closer to five meters.
So ! Let's be super conservative, 30 cm diameter, 4 m height :
π x 0,3² x 4 we get a volume of 1,13 m³ (obviously very underestimated)
google tells me marble has typically a density of around 2,75 ?
That gets us of pilar of, at least, 3,1 tonnes.
With 40 cm diameter and 5 m height, we get almost seven tonnes.
And yes, I'm ignoring the enlarged base and hat of the pillar because I'm lazy.
In short : this is a goofy fantasy manga with slapstick humor; which respects just enough of Newton's third law of motion to send unnamed mooks flying around.
You wouldn't be calling for proper realism of
action-reaction when watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon.
