So sad that this one got cancelled. I've read all the officially LNs up to volume 5, and this is one of the best stories I've ever read. Sucks that the author couldn't beat sales :/ .

WARNING
This is just a AD for the Light Novel. It just barely gets started, sets the stage and then in the first real fight scene ends with him and his opponent lunging towards each other. There are no story developments, only starting world building, you wont get to see where any plot points go or any kind of ending.

Good premise and characterization until the ending, in which it nosedives abruptly and with such unforgiving force. You do NOT end a manga like this, ever. You don't end ANYTHING like this. The point of a manga based on a novel is to get you interested in seeing how things differ. This manga's ending however? It fails to do that. The manga's ending is "haha you wanted a conclusion? Screw you, go buy the novel to see what happens next you idiot." It's almost offensive how bad the abrupt ending is.

The cancellation is not surprising. The chapters are too short for the story to progress and the same goes for the release pace. Not many people would wait for so much time between each release

Is there any sudden explosive selling of LNs after a manga adaptation is cancelled? What I've seen is only negativity from the reading side, and I always make sure to blacklist this betrayal behavior for any LN that does this.

They always trade long-term trust for short-term discoverability. I doubt the sunk costs justify the outcome.

Well that sucks. If I knew it would turn to nothing I wouldn't have read it. And the way it ended like a sudden ✂️ makes me perish the thought of ever giving the LN a try.

I'd hold off on blacklisting the LNs. It's almost never the desire of the author or artist that these get cancelled, just the comics publisher which may not even be involved with the LN publisher. The smart ones give the mangaka enough forewarning that they can try to wrap up the comic in an effective way, but I'm guessing this one was very sudden given how it finishes.

What I trying to say is about "a manga that exist just promote LN", these kind of trash often done for just one volume or even half. Publisher/Artist/Author know about this and the cost are just that cheap since it's no different from investing money to buy ADS service. And this manga is likely to be one of them.
