The only way I can see the MC ending up is him killing himself after he finishes his goal, because of the atrocities he's been forced to commit in order to reach his end goal. There's genuinely no happy ending in this scenario, because 1. He wipes out an entire race of people, 2. He leaves those people be and they continue to wreak havoc on all other races. And I highly doubt the demons would be willing to meet halfway

It's not nearly as "graphic" as they describe, just a still as it's about to happen and sets up the dark reality of this world (series feels borderline edgy but keeps right below that by having an actually strong plot). I'm far more annoyed by the loli demon tbh that is totally unnecessary.
I'm a little annoyed by that. Ante looks like a kid in the novel too but they've clearly sexualised her more in the manga despite otherwise having a less mature looking art style.
Just looked athe LN art - totally agree. The art of the LN at least doesn't make her look like a literal 9 year old - either way while I've accepted Japanese culture to an extent, the whole loli thing is beyond annoying to deal with. Totally unnecessary so often and does nothing but detract from things and potential of the series abroad.
But then his intention would be different like instead of wanting to destroy the kingdom he want to changed it ????????????
