It isn't smart. It's quite convoluted and braindead in fact. It's like a dumbass's idea of how a smart plan full of intrigue would look like. All this just to gather information about who was behind the wolf/card incident. Well this is a shoujo so can't expect much.
Honestly, this feels like a pretty basic spy story plot line. Rather than creating a new identity, they instead just disavow their own spy and have her get recruited by the enemy nation/organization since they’ll clearly have a bone to pick with their old bosses for firing them.

Mc is pretty well known here so going undercover would probably end in her Identity getting found out and an international incident taking place. But now she has a well known cover story. She was exiled. The princes will figure this out and want to recruit her as a weapon (especially since their nation has few magic users).

So, the exile was just an excuse for her to go away?, couldn´t they do something less extreme, like a study trip?

This whole thing seems so flimsy, like, so many things need to work, way too many to keep my disbelief suspended.

Now i kind of want her to have a fake out death, just to see the reactions of everyone back home to the almost obvious failure of this "master" plan (i might be too stupid to see how this is smart), i kind of want to see all of them reacting to her not existing anymore (it is a feeling that i´ve had since quite a lot of chapters already, first story where i have this feeling, too much Karma unbalanced i think)
I have long given up to hold this story accountable and make sense. My disbelief has been suspended so much it now can hold 5 10-ton trucks.

Personally having her exiled as an undercover pretense is quite interesting, because she gets freedom that proper documented transfers doesnt. But I agree that the set up for her to get exiled feels kind of pointless.

So they're gonna say "he" won because the lion was sick/wounded.

I was gonna say that her suddenly going to a gladiator match, where she's supposed to hide her magic, is kind of insane, but a lion is somehow a more logical choice since it's probably easier for her to hide it from people since nobody's actually near her except the lion.

Wonder if she'll somehow save+tame the lion too.

Problem is, unless this kingdom also has zero information network like the MC's, they should know what the MC has been exiled for. Which is the attempting (and party successful according to the ruse) brainwashing of royalty. No one with half a brain would allow her anywhere near royalty wherever she goes. As soon as she is found out, this plan of infiltrating a suspicious nation is dead in the water from the get go (if the story was well written that is). They also destroyed her and her family's reputation in order to so which is beyond retarded because good luck building it back up trying to convince the entire nation that she didn't just successfully mind control the authorities in order to return.

Her reputation, sure; that's what exile does. But her family's reputation is fine; Alicia has always been considered the odd one out. It is well known in niche circles that she had been a source of constant frustration for her family with the way she is constantly picking flights and causing trouble.

This isn't even speculation on my part; this opinion of her is widely held by the academy (students and professors), so them buying it isn't even a stretch.

Finally, let's assume they do have an information network, since that makes sense. From what we have seen in past chapters, information about magic is in no way difficult to come by. Alicia found almost everything she could have possibly wanted in a single library. Further, I don't recall anyone who had magical knowledge acting as if anything Alicia has done was impossible, only that it wasn't easy; indicating that information about magic, at least among those who practice it, is widespread.

Do you really think that upon obtaining all this information about magic, Laval wouldn't have started developing countermeasures to it?

Or maybe all of that is my imagination, who knows? My point is, try to dream a little bigger, darling.

I will admit that I did not thoroughly consider what her exile would entail, but the last thing I expected was her striding across an gladiatorial arena, in a prison uniform, sword in hand, and ready to square off against a lion, albeit one that is sick and possibly on a cocktail of drugs.

It's interesting to see that there is already a considerable rift in the two Laval princes' relationship. I can't wait to see if Alicia will complete the fracture of that relationship.

So with this chapter, we have officially passed the anime 🥳

I’m excited to see her beat up a lion, especially since I think it’s been a while since we’ve seen her physically fight? Well at the very least it feels like that because of the frequency of uploads lmaoo

Time to see the shenanigans Alicia gets up to 🥹

this isn't disrupting the plans of a foreign adversary by sending some punk 15-year old so much as it is sending Jason Bourne
Except they are in fact disrupting the plans of a foreign adversary by sending a punk 15-year old and not Jason Bourne.
A chunni, punk 15-year old with zero political backing and social support at that.
Just bc she can fight doesn't mean she would realistically thrive in another country's political landscape esp when she wasn't even thriving in her own's school hierarchy.

Sounds an awful lot like Jason Bourne to me.
