Alicia is just...having the time of her life. And exercising.
Typical heroine's mental gymnastic.Notice how Liz was:
1. At first aware Alicia couldn't have been the culprit, which changed to
2. Alicia might not have been the culprit, to finally:
3. "Alicia has committed the crime, but didn't hurt Duke, so I'll(!) step in to lower her punishment" (not her family, or the other nobles, or any of Duke's childhood friends from their circle)
Well, the things that were revealed is that Duke is aware of all of this, and that plus the whole royal card thing with the king, and Alicia's reaction at the end probably means that the whole exiling thing is just theatrics to get their plans moving. This is becoming a really frustrating read for me. Can we please have SOMETHING get revealed. It's getting annoying. 🙄
I mean, she DID want to become a villainess. Exile is a big one on the bingo card.I get what they're going for, the change of setting and all, but this is such an asinine way to accomplish it.
For real. It’s not a bad plot, but it’s taking forever to move forward. This is becoming a really frustrating read for me. Can we please have SOMETHING get revealed. It's getting annoying. 🙄
Well, other than the royals, few can measure up to that deal. So it's not like it's false."She thought she was some big deal."
She's absolutely right. They just don't know what about."You mean it's something they can't let the public know?"
I find it more like she just doesn't have any counter arguments, and slowly gives in to popular opinion. She's not stubborn enough to hold onto her beliefs when challenged enough.Typical heroine's mental gymnastic.

I have a feeling that she's also mentally manipulated in some way, but because she's a legitimate saint it applies slower for her.Notice how Liz was:
