I like how this extra chapter subtly address the fundamental issue that’s surrounding Liz. Mainly the fact her rabid fanbase is always siding with her without thinking and the still unknown why that is happening.

Which continues later on to reveal the fact she’s unconsciously using Charm Magic on her surroundings. And how dangerous Charm Magic is, especially because it wasn’t intentional and used unconsciously.

How dangerous a girl(who can use magic) in love who wants the boy she loves to look her way and how that desire subconsciously activated Charm Magic to try and charm the boy she wants, but it unintentionally attracts and charms others to her and almost brainwashed them to believe her and only believe what she says and does is always correct.

Why Duke is immune to the effect? Theory goes from novel that either he’s stronger in magic or his will is unshakeable.

Very interesting so is her magic starting to not affect him or is an issue of her own will faltering? If she has multiple contradictory feelings at the same time, how would those she’s brainwashing react? Would they randomly pick one or the other or would they keep going back and forth as she struggles to come to a decision

just as a reminder,
these are multiple grown men (17-19) screaming at, harassing, ganging up and threaten their friends (three brothers) 15-year old little sister whom they known and interacted with for multiple years bc shes argumentative with their crush (that tried to kill her).

really wish this and other stories like this took a more "villainess within" approach to give these characters actual consequences with the way they act sometimes. esp her family.

these half-ass "Lizs not foaming at the mouth at the mention of this little girl, why" character "development" is not gonna cut it.

Gotta call out the line, "There is no absolute truth." There are lots of absolute truths.

If anything, there are no absolute viewpoints or perspectives, but truths won't change or are simply not understood well enough.

I think the only viewpoint that is the same as the truth is that mosquitos suck and should disappear. I have yet to discover a use for them outside of being dragonfly food. I'd hope they could eat something else.

Liz didn't try to kill her she just stopped her from defending herself infront of someone who was trying to kill her. She's dumb not malicious.

As an example that not everything is cut and dry mosquitoes also have a role as pollinators, that's why it's ecologically complicated to simply get rid of them. Female mosquitoes are so eager to feast on human blood not because otherwise they'd starve but because the nutrients in it allow them to lay 20x the number of eggs compared to when they only feed on flower nectar.
Yes female skeeters are using us humans as Viagra and that only makes me resent them even more...

Stoping someone from defending themselves in a deadly situation is called trying to kill them. You don’t need to be malicious to do that.
Ppl Irl do stupid things that they know get ppl killed all the time, they simply don’t care and are too stupid to care.

I generally agree with your dislike against Liz, but there's some nuances around the kidnapping:

While Liz does hate Alicia, it's been stressed repeatedly that Liz's character isnt that vengeful. Even back then Liz is already vaguely aware that her will somehow bends reality, so my take is Liz only meant Alicia to get hurt but not outright die.
