Stop the misinformation. Titles being removed depict sexual activity between characters that are minors, either in appearance (handled on a case-by-case basis) or confirmed in the dialogue. It's about law and compliance with it. If you jerk it off to little kids, go and do it elsewhere; there are sites that specialise in that.
I want YOU, EtherealNeko, to list the specific law this is about.

The problem isn't that they're shouting louder than others, it's that they got elected and started passing very real laws. Like it or not, there are people who are responsible for keeping the site up and running, and they will potentially bear the punishment (or at least be subject to trial) for breaking those laws if someone decides to start filing charges. I'm not thrilled about this either, but it is by far the lesser of two evils when compared to the site getting napalmed wholesale.
That's incorrect.

If the MangaDex servers are located in a jurisdiction where lolis are legal, then they cannot be held legally liable.

Jurisdictions cannot decide the laws outside of their jurisdiction.

If your logic was correct, then the entire internet must be forced to censor alcohol, because alcohol is illegal in Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia. But obviously that's not the case, so your logic is incorrect.

Countries can only decide the laws within their own borders, not for the entire world.

You are simply fearmongering about a situation that cannot happen. MangaDex cannot be held liable for laws outside of their server's jurisdiction.

Sumatra pdf is quite limited in functionality, i mostly use yacreader its has library function and more
Ehh, it has the core functionalities I want/needed: remembers where I left off reading, lets me do cascade reading, bookmarks each volume book I open and even creates a thumbnail for all the books I opened. It just works.

This probably has something to do with Texas passing that stupid anti-anime/manga law, and the state could bring you to court if the site is either in Texas or is accessible there, but it's hard to prove the threshold for any legal action against Mangadex.
i created an account just to squash this... while mangadex COULD be removing it because of texas law, texas law is 100% illegal and thus if they ever challenged anyone for anything loli related it would be a slam dunk case to squash their law, the supreme court has ruled numerous times on content that includes "lolicon" in it, and its a form of freedom of expression, courts across the united states have also confirmed that supreme court ruling like with a man in indiana charged with 2 counts of CP because of hentai/manga of lolicon content, the courts agreed with the interpretation that the supreme court ruled lolicon content protected under first amendment grounds. TEXAS law has the EXACT same wording as the federal law congress tried to pass in 1996 that the supreme court struck down for being "overbroad" including stuff in it that is protected as it does not contain real children in it.

I think someone needs to take you off damage control, you did a lot of damage to how the mod team is perceived and you clearly aren't very good at self-control

Two points on this:
1. No one really wants to be the test case.
2. Have you seen the Supreme Court recently?

ah there we go, found the stupid ass post from twitter, i was looking for it, what a dogshit take, let this be a lesson for anyone who is trying to make a site for manga/anime, never put yourself under places like UK law, never be a fucking dumbass as well who doesn't fight said stupid ass laws that not only take away freedom of expression but literally deny sharing of an artists work. anyway my job here is done, im going to go to one of many better sites listed on the index, theres hundreds of sites for manga and ones that have way more and better content than this piece of shit website.

supreme court doesn't care, the most recent case from courts was in a RED STATE and was in 2024, courts care about previous cases, and they care about the constitution, nothing more, the constitution no matter how you interpret, clearly states that the government can't abridge the freedom of speech, freedom of speech includes expression which means it includes ART, which loli is art, these rulings go back all the way to before porn itself was even mainstream and loli wasn't even as big of an art form back then... the supreme court nowadays would not care.

point 1 was addressed as well with this... its not a test case since you can point at previous rulings, the court case in 2024 was dismissed on first amendment grounds and the dude listed 5 different cases for why it should be, and they agreed (even the state agreed)

Honestly, I don't see much issue. Piracy sites are not as "underground" as people make them out to be, you could find dozens in minutes. The whining is for nothing.
Oh it is pretty easy to find new sites that are not pro censorship, that's for sure, there's a lot out there

The problem comes with having this sort of mentality on this age and era, it's dangerous to see that these sort of people go around and are able to do this sort of stuff, at least making people aware of it it's important
