I do remember folks saying some of these gelatinous ingredients can be itchy if handled, I guess that wasn't just limited to the fancy mountain yams that turn into goo when grated haha.

It's so nice that the alchemist is finding some relief in growing things after the war, I'd love to see a story with someone like him as the main character one day.

I wonder if Selen will stay at the cafe long term, it's certainly nice to picture that when MC has implied he knows he going to pass away this year.

At least he got a good medal, i was kinda expecting the farmer to also be an Isekai guy, but i guess it's just that the Princess comes from a Kingdom where those vegetables aren't used often in gastronomy, not that they don't exist.

Also, still waiting for some knight or noble to come looking for the princess.

Excellent way to address PTSD. He has a stable job, doing something with his skills to help others and feel "useful", and people who care about him waiting to see him each time he returns. Great place to start recovery or at the very least establish a holding pattern against depression.

they scream when they touch water? does it only happen after they're harvested? or it happens even when those tubers are still under the soil? imagine you unknowingly water some potato plants and then you hear muffled screaming from below you but it could also be a good indicator for when to harvest them once you get used it

The vibrant characters make this series. Read something close to this a while back but it just felt empty and boring to read, this one makes me long for new chapters thanks to the interesting characters.
