The problem I have is that it never stops at the loli hentai. Once that is gone, the goalposts move, and the next tier of unsavory content is targeted. This will continue until all that remains is the most sanitized, censored, and worthless content imaginable. I don't like the loli stuff, either, but you always must remember that, to the most aggressive outsiders, almost all anime and manga is "pedobait". Just look at how many times anime girls, even explicit and obvious adults, are called children on social media because they have big eyes and big heads. It's a slippery slope that never ends well for any anime or manga community.

That said, attacking the moderators is uncalled for. People are understandably on-edge, but honestly, this isn't worth getting emotional over. Sites like these come and go, and people like me have gone through this dozens of times already.

If one were to be a real person, their first comment would likely be in a manga chapter discussion and about a manga.
Not in a current drama thread, with a grandstanding message about not caring about their (nonexistant) library and a request to delete their account.
It is foolish to believe that someone that joined during this incident and first focused mostly about that incident is a real member.

Most of the userbase don't bother with manga commenting and checking the forums. This thread is making the rounds in various social media platforms, so an old user's first comment being here is very reasonable.

Very ironic to see the site suddenly care about loli stuff given what one of the first uploads to this site was lol. There's no way it's going to end with just that. We all know the story with Crunchyroll. I'm hoping MD at least lasts until AI removes the need for human translators and we're all just reading simulpubs auto-generated by the publishers.

you literally give me the idea to right now consider a workflow of progam to translate shit for me, a low ball of 25$ per month with different AI and MTL to translate chapters for myself

i might had give that a go if i had the money XD

BUT given what i see some other people using MTL or AI i wander if they are either not playing as much the premium for the programs or the AI+MTL combo is still no where near the quality needed to enjoy manga >.>

hope that tech gets good soon, cuz honestly i will rather pay programs per month and have unlimited reading as long as i get the raws that to wait for a translation group to continue or dealing with inconsistent quality NOW i got to deal with websites issues too

I disagree. Are there some people that are making new accounts just to troll? Certainly. But thinking all the new posters are shit stirrers is extremely narrow minded.
This only affected 10 titles so the vast majority of users who do not engage with the forums would only learn about this via SNS. And this decision and initial reply is so stupid that people making their first post be about not liking this direction is not surprising at all.
