why does he keep saying “second child”? they have twins so supposedly they’re going to have their third child, no?

Question: I want to read the novel and found out that there are two different translations, from two different websites. I tried to compare them, and it looked like that, at later chapters, they get pretty different from each other.

For those that have already read them and for those that have read it in the original language, how do they compare? What's the best place to read the translated novel?
You should read it on novelight.net they have free chapters upto volume 7 and one chapter unlocks everyday

Probably a translation thing, if I had to guess, like if the phrasing could go either way between "second pregnancy" or "having our second child" and the latter is the more common translation because it fits the most cases. The other possibility could be in how Twins are viewed in some cultures as akin to being one unit (for various reasons.) 🤔

I don't understand how that game works...
I think it's similar to a game like "never have I ever" where you're saying something about yourself and trying to choose things that are only true about yourself and not the opponent 🤔

Out of curiosity what two websites have you found? I know of the version on Webnovel and am currently reading the one on novelbin. The story is actually still ongoing from what I’ve gathered. The version on Webnovel is “completed” in the sense that the first big overarching story has concluded and there’s even an “epilogue.” However this epilogue was written by the translator as stated at the beginning of it. The novelbin version goes past where Webnovel finishes.

To be frank I like the Webnovel translation better. SPECIALLY early on. In later chapters it does falter at times, and by the very end the translator made a change so mind bogglingly odd I was like, “there’s no way this is how it was actually written.” Sure enough the novelbin version doesn’t have this change and I was like, “ok, this makes WAY more sense.” Still, the webnovel version is all around better translated, at least that’s how I feel after picking up on novelbin. Maybe stick with it until you too start thinking, “wait what?” Lol

I can’t read in the source language unfortunately. Though this novel really makes me wish I did.
When did you notice things changing or being divergent? I'm at Chapter 301 on Webnovel.

You should prolly read them from webnovel for the completed series as well as it having the proper translations.
Unfortunately, neither sources say which version they are translating.

These are the ones I found: Ether Reads and LoLoBun. I did not know of Novel Bin, but I just checked, and it seems they also use Ether Reads translation.

That would make it a third source, but it seems that Ether Reads translation is in NoveLight too, so that's still two sources. :LOL:

========== EDIT ==========

OK. After checking the two sources I had, with the other two provided, it seems that this is how things stand regarding Novel translation:

It seems that Ether Reads was the first group to start translating the Novel on their website. This translation was also uploaded on Novel Bin and NoveLite. Ether Reads locks their most recent chapters behind a paywall, so I could only check up to Chapter 124 of Volume 3. Up to this chapter, all 3 websites seems to use the same translation.

Then, translations started to diverge. Both Novel Bin and NoveLite started to work on their own version.

Then, at some point, Novel Bin and NoveLite started using the same translation again. That goes on until Chapter 134 of Volume 6, which is the latest one translated by Novel Bin. From then on, it's just NoveLite, with it's most recent chapter being Chapter 10 of Volume 10. The problem is that NoveLite also keeps it's most recent chapters behind a paywall, with the latest free chapter being Chapter 13 of Volume 7.
