"Yuika is far too good", if only that old man knew the truth...

The exchange about a child, is because Kento tricked her into thinking she's undead, and undead can't have children.

Anyway, thanks for the translation Cerezeth!

Changes from the web novel:
  • The house visit scene continued for longer, they had tea and cookies together with Manon’s family, the familiars came out.
  • Kento asked Amanda to prepare for the party, she got upset about being expected to entertain the Lord of Volzard at short notice and Kento pretended not to hear. Then Kento went to Klaus’s home and flirted with Beatrice to annoy him while inviting them to the party. He also had a moment inviting Yuika while she was with the teens working at the stables (cut filler subplot).
  • There was no Dame Furide (the chick asked out) in the web novel, so her scene here is by mangaka. Nitta and his friend were basically incels originally, so this is a step up from from ‘begging the guild receptionist to show her tits’. The Nitta/Furide subplot builds on themes of the main plot, check back to chapter 21 if you struggle to remember her.
We've finished the "Ordeal" stage of Kento's Hero's Journey.

Love these difference summaries always. Thanks for providing this.

Man this has progressed in such an unexpected way. With how he is interacting with the other world, how we all thought the hero was going to turncoat, his emotional turmoil blasting to the surface with triggers. It’s pretty neat. I know a lot of people will call this mid and the pacing is wild, but it’s been fairly enjoyable so far.

Looking forward to seeing how they defend against the Minotaurs.

Thanks for the translation!

Thanks as always for the new chapter!

Is it just me, but I keep getting tripped up by the father's line on page 6: "I'm sorry I couldn't see through the person you married."
It makes it sound like she's already married someone terrible and he's apologizing he couldn't see through his fake personality. 😅
Is it fair to assume that he's apologizing to her for not being able to stay alive long enough to attend her wedding? Or does he just want to meet the person she'll marry in the future?

OK...let's say killing the princess is not an option because the MC is a typical bland cookiecutter goodie two shoes Japanese MC on that department.

But does he have to hold heal and console the person whose actions led to the murder of many children and his own mother's suicide?...

I mean...come on...

MC not killing the princess because she is the only competent ruler for her country. killing her will cause innocent being killed by monster, and war.

if he kill her, he as same as her, killing innocent for own selfish benefits. he do want to let her dies but innocent will also affected and he doesn't want that on his conscience.

MC is middle schooler, easily to say just kill her when normal child not just casually kill people.it japanese mentally but he also a child.

plus, she not afraid of dying, she afraid not able to save her people. if killing her could save her people, she would do that. that why MC hesitate.

This manga has done a really good job at making me both hate and tolerate the princess.

If you are one of those who where transported, you have all the reason to hate her. the abduction, treatment, the killing of the MC (if not for his powers se would be finished), killing one of the students (sure a bully but still), killing all of those people because of the transfer, even the whole performing the transfer when she knew what happened the last time. Also you know all the bowing and apologizing is just because there is someone more powerful on the other side.

But also she is the only competent one, and really does her job well and as soon as the plan failed, she was far too eager to offer herself for the punishment (might that be fanservice instead of world building?).

Do i want her punished?, all the way yes, she must, her crimes are way too many to just say "well she does her job well so water under the bridge and stuff", but not the punishment she wants and neither the punishment that my revenge boner wants, mostly because she would be all too happy to just throw herself to the wolves if that means the people will be spared, so that is not fun at all, i also think that she doesn´t really feel bad because of what she did, the "greater good" is a mighty good shield and probably the only ones who could still hate her after weighting that are those who where transferred, by now we know the majority of them are quite useless, probably happy with simple humiliation and execution.

But Karma says that she needs to actually feel the wrong she caused, maybe (once MC figures how to do it) transfer her to the other world and make her face the families of those who died in the transfer, make her know the power of that side and make her know that her people will get the short end of the stick just because she did what she did, don´t know, something like that

Also, healing her is kinda important in this moment since there’s a massive invasion on its way and if she can’t even stand, then a lot of people are going to die, which is the exact scenario he’s trying to avoid

though to clarify, isn’t her brother the competent leader that mc is trying to prop up to the throne?

He looks stronger after have cried.. good. he did NEED that for sure.
yep, I would say Manon played a huuuuge part on that, boy is growing after getting to see his intestines in the open, also he was stern with the princess but still helped her so she could lead her people.

thanks for the translation
