It doesn't seem that way to me. With his favourite drinking buddy, he was even raising a flagon to their "forever alone" club. But then he basically abandoned all of his principles (not getting involved in anything big or standing out) for Medis's sake. Sure, you could say he did it for the country's sake, but it was actually directly for Medis's sake, because it involved Medis staying in the game of thrones. That's pretty heavy dedication from someone living his second life and just a bit earlier swearing he will remain a mob character this time. Even still, you could claim it's nothing personal, even if Medis is probably his closest and most trusted friend already, in addition to being a beautiful, friendly girl of the same age he respects, but it's a whole lot more personal than what he seems to have going on with Aria, at the moment. If you think about it, Aria is a pretty distant character. What does Akira even know about her?
