Yep, it's doesn't feels like a continuous story, more of small arc and another small arc. Solving a mystery one after another

Each arc is good but they doesn't feel like have any connection one another. I really thought after the goblin arc were gonna travel and see the world to collect lapis's limbs but this is very unexpected suddenly turn a horror zombie.

oh boy, you don't know how many Manga are deleted or never updated again in Mangadex. I have my second source for those missing on this site. Its a hidden gem.

I sure you dude i know a lot. My phone is full of bookmarked manga that probably would never see the light of update anymore. But, then again, i am too lazy moving out of Mangadex and searching for alternative or hidden gems in today term. If the manga is gone or no longer updated, then so be it. If i have money, i am gonna hunt them down in real life.

I don't know how to feel about this manga anymore, didn't it start off much cooler?

I don't know if I'd call it, "cool," but I still like it a lot. Broke Mercenary is far closer to a spiritual successor to Slayers than Berserk.

The build up and the chase sequence from the previous chapters gave me this uncanny feeling that I haven't felt in a horror movie or manga in a really long time.

It really dropped off since the beginning and doesn't know what genre it wants to cater to anymore. Dark fantasy, comedy or shonen. The characters turned into absolute morons during this arc. Especially the "priestess of knowledge" should have figured out that the princess girl is probably cursed. The four characters in the cart are also only alive due to plot armor after driving the whole night with her.

Probably a good point to drop this here. It doesn't feel like it will improve or go anywhere anytime soon. I'm sticking with Goblins Slayer as my dark fantasy of choice.

And Goblin Slayer sucks, at least after some time. I find the Goblin Slayer Prequel way better than the piloto Goblin Slayer

Goblin slayer is awesome if you take it as what it is. It is also very unique.

- Armor is actually useful instead of clothing with an armor skin that can be cut without effort.

- use of strategy and battle tactics instead of overpowering enemies with brute force. He is a normal human. At peak human performance but still human. Switching weapons mid fight. throwing sand etc. Using a breath ring during an avalanche. That's all out of the box thinking, rare in other stories.

- low magic world where the reader always knows about the magic abilities and how often the characters can use their spells. No surprise fireball because someone believes in the power of friendship

I don't think there are other stories with these features. Even useful armor is extremely rare already.

Ngga, you didn't addressed my point, I said that the manga got worse later, everything feels aimless and you lost the tension of the previous arcs, it's entirely focused on the Goblin Slayer socialization with others. Go read the manga Slayer Prequel, it's awesome

I've read the prequel already. Yes it's great. But I disagree with your opinion on the main series. The last few chapers of the "elf marriage arc" were filled with tension. A single critical hit sleep spell almost wiped the group. could the mangaka have extended this scene? Yeah probably. But does it suck? Definitely not.
