I really wouldn’t have minded if they were an adventuring group for a while longer just world building different places on the continent for a long stretch. The base world material that the original author created was a solid enough foundation to do some expanding on, without quickly going into the super cancer/MC swap so quickly.

This has gone from one of the only manga I’ve actually bought physica copies of to one of my least anticipated reads with how poorly the plot is being handled. Does anyone know anything about why the LN author quit?

Writer's block supposedly. For a similar manga where the author kept plowing forward instead of just dropping it, look no further than Hachinan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!

The problem is what starts out as an action/adventure transitions to politics and kingdom building because the MC is too strong and the action/adventure has no real stakes to it. So the author pivots to kingdom building, but because they had no plans for it to go that way they didn't setup the necessary backstory to make it intriguing.
