Not really. They have hung out a few times. Neither have made anything close to an explicit statement. The smallest interaction with her and his brother would be all it took, his tendency to read into things is as much his problem as girls using him.

I think at this point he's probably past most of his suspicions of her being into his brother, and dealing more with just the general insecurities that spawned from dealing with that for years. He seems to be aware that she's hanging out with him because she wants to, but whether she would reciprocate if he made a move is a different matter.

That said, all it would take is the right situational setup for those suspicions to resurface...

Notice how their speaking became all formal and flowery? The librarian forcibly enlightened them (idk how. very long lecture full of quotes from traditional Japanese poetry books?) while in the middle of making them do library work.

The librarian seems to be a single middle aged man who coped with philosophy/poetry books and is spiteful of those who stop being single as "early" as high school. What's that? The librarian might be a student rather than a teacher? In that case, he copes with being single by reading books targeted toward single middle aged men.
