Is no-one else so much as considering the possibility that the author is intentionally playing with this trope? Like... obviously these mangaka read at least some of the same manga that people are thinking of when writing these complaints. Is it really so impossible that the author did this on purpose? Have the MC make a well-intentioned but bad decision, then have them called out by the supporting cast and told "that's a stupid decision, man"?

Like, god forbid an author write their character making a mistake...

That’s honestly a pretty normal reaction after everything that happened in the previous chapters, haha :dogkek:

Thank God his friend is levelheaded when it comes to this. Time waits for no one and if you like someone then stand on business and ask them out. Stop setting up stupid requirements to force yourself to do something that should be done by just communicating with them. Thanks for the chapter!!!

Feels like the author is just arguing with themselves at this point
Or maybe author is just milking chapters and he's trying to show that he's aware that readers are aware of what he's doing, and it's all the editor's fault because everyone knows that straightforward mangas get axed by the 3rd volume.

God Emperor Naruhito forbid a serialized manga just tell a story without devolving into a bunch of mindless generic tropes that stretch the plot.
Or maybe... the author constructed a character that is obviously annoyingly stubborn with his reasoning to keep the audience engaged, because... maybe, just maaaaaaybe... that is what their intent is when they KNOWINGLY chose that narrative direction.

You know... because this is their job and there are TONS of writing techniques that were made exactly for this, but... noooo, the author is clearly a moron that doesn't know what they are doing.

I know my comment is overly aggressive and I apologise for that... but seriously, it isn't hard to see your reactions are the author's intent.

Hope to see more love triangles, baits and miscommunications. We need more angst and tropes. Hope the other girl start liking the MC soon and the guy who just had a crash on FMC to pursue her. We need more drama please and thank you author in advance.

There's no way the editor is that dumb to not notice something like that happening though. I feel like they are just padding for times to have the last chapter of them getting together as the end of the series.
If this series doesn’t continue past them actually getting together I’m gonna cry
Though, honestly, it probably won’t

Yeah, uh… writing an MC to do something dumb and then having their friends call him out just shows that author-san doesn’t actually believe in their MC’s decision
Having him do something dumb is merely a chance for him to learn and grow (plus it extends the series)

bruh wtf is this dogshit, they going downhill since then, is this gonna become another kanokari trash?
this blonde dude is so annoying and such a waste for using so much panel for him when the mc and the heroine screen time is not even that much to begin with.
as i said before, adding NTR is better for this one, the plot is already ruined anyway, and the mc didn't do any progress since the beginning, at this rate he better just watch his girl get fucked in the front of him, fuck you author, i'am here for the wholesome romance, not kanokari mc dogshit slop
It aint that serous brobro

I got confused for a sec, then I realized this was the other big sister's friend manga I was reading. The one that doesn't have the more straight forward progress.

It's just a bland, overdone route that kicks the can down the road with a dynamic that results in the leads rarely being in the same room until they get various perspectives from other people.

There are so many mistakes that characters can make that result in drama, heightened emotions, or weighty decisions. This isn't one of them and it never has been. Intentional or not, it blows.

Seems like the author us at least aware of how dumb the plot is.
For a moment I thought the friend fell in love with big sis, but looks like he's still aiming for the annoying girl.
