I have something to say about your groups translation of 'Hanbun Kyoudai'. Why did you make the localization like that? Using things like "N Shit" "Wuz" "Bradda".
I was going to give Vish the advice of speaking to black people for their perspective before the thread was deleted. It's very easy to dm black anime fans or content creators about it, or even look at how people previously sub minority characters in anime. Lalah Sune and Marbet Fingerhat of Gundam doesn't sound like a caricature from 4chan despite being of Indian descent, they just sound like normal people.I have something to say about your groups translation of 'Hanbun Kyoudai'. Why aren't you properly translating the source material?
Ah nah I'm far from respectable. That controversy with that manga doesn't bother me in the slightest. I find it absolutely hilarious. I don't want to write a novel on my full opinion on this but I'll sum it up.

I find the "black translation" funny and probably the only entertaining thing from that manga because it looks boring as sin otherwise. Just constant pity porn that only depressed terminally online mentally ill neets would find entertaining. I'm still a proponent of accurate translations and from what I saw on the Twitter meltdown of this was just people making fun of lefties throwing a hissy fit about this because it shows their hypocrisy. I don't think anyone actually thinks this was an accurate translation it's just ragebait and lefties fell for it.
You're the type of person who gets dopamine from right-wing nerds clapping like seals and calling you BASED for parroting right-wing views, but they're not going to like you once you're either above them or step out of the role that they mentally boxed you in.Ah nah I'm far from respectable. Whole lot of assumptions you're making there man. I don't get any dopamine or whatever from someone agreeing with me. I just don't care about racism and slurs and just find them funny. You're the type of person who gets dopamine from right-wing nerds clapping like seals and calling you BASED for parroting right-wing views, but they're not going to like you once you're either above them or step out of the role that they mentally boxed you in.
A lot of minority-based media is unhappy because it is a reflection of their lived experiences. People normally reconsider how they act, but racists want to disregard the discomfort that they feel from those sincere works so that they can continue dehumanizing the groups that they actively antagonize. That's also why they misuse terms like "black fatigue" (term that refers to blacks exhausted by racism) or "woke" (term for blacks being aware of a racist status quo).
It's honestly disappointing how much real bigotry is being displayed here. Imagine talking down someone's lived experiences...Whole lot of assumptions you're making there man. Whether people put me in a box is of their own discretion I don't care. Since you love to bring the "lived experience" bullshit out my own lived experience has had racism be a non-existent thing growing up. I grew up in the south in a white dominated neighborhood and even then nobody treated me any differently. The closest memory I could remember was a teacher in middle school pulling me to the side asking if I was okay because we were talking about a sensitive race topic. Didn't register to me at the time because racism is something I never experienced up to that point. I still live in the south and the only racism I've ever received is from lower class blacks calling me an Uncle Tom or Oreo just because I speak proper english and don't like to use slang.
I've reached a point in my life where I do not care and will just laugh at "racism". If people had thicker skin and didn't blame everything on "racism" their lives would be much better. The best way to beat a racist is to ignore their words or laugh at them. If you can't do that continue being a victim in life. I'm sure some idiot will listen to your whining.
Also cry harder that those terms have different meanings how. It just means people are tired of that bullshit and are using those words against you. Simple as that.
