God if this turns out to be an actually good version of "The girl I saved on the train was my childhood friend" I will be a happy angry. Happy because its good. Angry because I had to be reminded of that steaming pile of shit known masquerading as a romcom.

If you don't mind sharing, what happened in that story? I remembered reading it a bit, then wondered how the story seems to be straying from its initial premise, then kinda forgot it existed.

Yo what the FUCK?! Who took over the direction and writing for this chapter because even being faces with a wall of ‘speak your mind’ they managed to not crash and ALSO make engaging dialogue + imagery pulling my attention forward. Legit this chapter is actually stunning.

I know it’s probably not gonna happen but i think id be really cool for the former losing heroine to get with the mc and the former winning heroine get with the side character (OUR mc). I haven’t seen it done that often and I think it actually be tasteful way the subvert expectations in the way their relationship has been going imo

It looks like both will liked Kimura at the end if it's progress this way, while Ei become wingman.

From what i see so far, when Takebi love for Ei isn't really grown since the beginning, Manaka love on Ei also seems fader and fader each day, while Ei love going nowhere because he finally know that girl he love when he was children was her Brother cosplaying as Manaka all along (maybe he gay now idk).

What i wanted right now is Kimura need to NOT detached on this world and facing it head on. Because of his action involving himself by helping Manaka makes story goes this way in first place. And next two chapter maybe the point of Kimura character development happening.

Man, given the foreshadowing here, it probably will be a very emotional square (or pentagon, if Manaka bro is included) relationships.
The opening of this chapter suggests Manaka is trying to understand or learn why Kimura is helping her get with Ei but Kimura refuses to dance with her (likely without explaining himself). Now Takabi (who is Ei's Fiance) is talking to Kimura more closely. One from the outside could interpret that as Kimura being manipulating through using Manaka to get separate Ei from Takabi...
If a Takabi arc is coming, I'd expect a dance or intimate event to happen with witness(es), causing further chaos with gossips and misunderstandings.

On a more serious note, I hope Kimura grows out of his current mindset and choose a gal (or dude, if he swings that way) and recognize how to be constructive and more importantly, recognizing there is more to his current life and Manaka's experience with her crush on Ei. Approaching relationships with "Winning" it is a hell of way for a person to grow toxic (and become a literal shitbag) over time.
All the preceding chapters thus far has shown us the readers, that all of them actually grow closer by recognizing their own shortcomings and working through them together, not by flexing. If a prime example is needed, look back to chapter 2 to see the school's weird policy of "mutual improvement" (lol).
