shiro is not a dog, it's the cat that was adopted by the cat lover, the dog is a protector spirit that haunt the shop.

if the kitten has his eyes open, he can move, 3month cat can move without problem in and out of a box, and cat love carton box to rest, moreover, they have the same fur color.

plus miko and friend assume that the kitten was abandonned, thank to the lack of collar, but it can be just a domestic cat that love to wander, that happen with big adult cat that are notoriously know to wander to get food from multiple family.

I forgot about that but yeah thats totally possible it was it for sure, cause she was at home all the time and no other things chased her this nigth.

It was imitating someone she know and just left seconds ago like if that person forgot something at her home.

In paranormal stories and legends, yokais, ghosts or demons may need the person's consent to possess, haunt or come to her house.
Like u accepted it to be part of your life and it can do all it wants now.

Thats pretty terrifying cuz it almost got her if dad wasnt paying attention.

That was easily one of the most truly frightening, hair-raising moments in the series, too. It's actually a fairly good 'horror' manga in that sense - it can still shock and freak you out even with all the silly humor and slice of life-isms.
