Let's see. Bcs of Tsumugi request, to bring/rescue all survivors, they need to take alternative route and can't use the car that MC previously used. And it seems, all survivors here aren't zombie fighter type nor the courage one.
So from MC's dream on previous chapter, it seems like a foresighting that she might got bitten or ended up the same fate as Tokiko (zombie girl). Given the current danger, this cramped location, and the possibility of encountering smart zombies here, it seems she just led this group straight into their demise.

It is kind of strange how this group even survived for a year, if it doesn't have a single person with combat experience in it. Even if their scouting/ressource procurement team got wiped out recently, you would still expect them to leave at least a few fighters behind to guard the base.

We just have vague hints that an incident occurred, but they must have lost all their fighters and scavengers recently. My guess is resources in the area ran out, and the capable personnel conspired to sneak away and leave the dead weight behind. Due to this desperate situation, and having experienced the pain of abandonment herself, the princess can't bring herself to leave anyone behind, and the vote to use the tunnel is unanimous because staying behind means certain death by starvation.

If those were all unrelated people who accidentally got forced together after the zombie outbreak that might make sense. But you would normally expect there to be family bonds and friendships between combatants and non-combatants, so a desertion of the entire combat team seems kind of unrealistic. Idk I guess the unhelpful mob is just there to incentivize us to sympathize with the new girl and the author didn't bother thinking up a plausible explanation ... or he will reveal it later.

That's a good point, although a variety of possible factors could be used to explain that away: a rift of social tensions that built up over time, perceived impossibility of supporting the dead weight long-term, deaths of those adventurers who would have refused to leave the rest behind, etc. I think it's unlikely that we'll get a clear answer, though, as this author seems to like to leave it to the readers to connect the dots.
