I prefer the endings done for Maga Tsuki and it's in universe follow up Ojousama no Shimobe. A rare case of same author showing how to do a harem ending and then in a different unrelated story (that takes place in the same world as the first) showing how the 2nd girl can be best girl and come out on top. I hope for that same Ojousama ending here with Mirei.

I think I saw a comment that said there was a point in the novels where there were like 5 girls after him, so I guess that tag is deserved
But I get what you're saying, the true meaning of "harem" is being lost with these tags
