Give me my high school sequel you cowards.

--

It does kind of feel like a lot of the more personal plot threads are just going to be left unresolved, which from a writing perspective makes sense, they're 14, Kyo shouldn't be able to magically figure out how to deal with stuff that adult spouses to professional actors and actresses have struggled to deal with, and it makes sense to frame the story as a snapshot of their life instead of wrapping everything up in a bow.

From a reading standpoint though, it does leave the desire for more. Which idk, maybe that's her plan to rage bait everyone into getting her a sequel. Relative to the rest of her work it's kind of wild how randomly she knocked this series out of the park, and as a creative I could see not knowing if you have another bullet in your chamber, and wanting to string what's working for as long as possible

When we consider that ~5 chapters were burned with a "who will have to bungee jump at the amusement park" arc, it makes the ending so much sadder

Would've preferred a timeskip instead of the graduation speech, but maybe there us hope for the next chapter. Assuming it's not this short.

The Ichiparents and Kana got them drip ready for Kyo's graduation. Very cool to see them proud of him.

It's interesting to see that Kimi Oku drawing on the black board but yet again, it's up to the reader's interpretation to understand what Yamada's reaction there implies. Perhaps she doesn't associate anything positive with her favorite manga anymore since the sequel to the live action got announced and she just walked away from her role long ago.
Might sound harsh, but since we are close to the final chapter, it's easy for me to decide who is the better character to me in the series.
