Am I seriously the only one who read Komichi's "well if you're serious about her" as a joke? It seemed like an obvious joke to lighten the mood. She grins about it afterward. And she straight up says her suggestion is to act like they broke up, not to actually break up. But Erika doesn't even want to put on an act about it (totally valid) and we don't see any pushback from Komichi. I don't know why people are criticizing her here.

Speaking of criticizing...you don't have to love Erika's new design, but sheesh. She's a high school girl who went through a dramatic journey of self discovery. She can change her image if she wants. If she wants a butch look, what's wrong with that? It isn't making some statement about lesbians in general. We see I think seven other lesbians (or at least WLW people) in this chapter and they're not all butch or anything.

I guess people fly off the handle since this is a bit of an avant-garde series...it's doing some experimental things with the narrative and it's taking a long time to come back, so I guess people just don't have the patience to let it cook. But this has been a masterful story so far. Just chill out and see where it goes.

Personal opinion, also not a fan of the new look, i would be very much fine with the one she had right before this one, both her original and that one fit her pretty good but this one feels more forced to me, it's still the author's choice so gotta live with it but hope we go back at some point.

I gotta say, part of me wonder if some of the negative comments are bait, the negative reaction to Erika definitely sounds weird, like, yeah it's understandable some won't like how she's dressed at the moment but the way some posts talk about it you'd imagine the mangaka is making some political statement about lesbians or whatever

Erika dressing like that would make perfect sense if it's cause she's figuring her sexuality and so on, whatever reason she's dressing like that I honestly don't think it'll last

Hell as far as we know she's only dressing like that for fun due to how other girls might be reacting to her or something lol

Man what the heck happened in here. Idgaf if people disagree with my point or not but change has always been a theme for Erika. Her also being portrayed as the Prince and reflecting that in her appearance through presenting more masculine has been happening since hiro changed her clothes (also her hair being cut foreshadowed in ch77). Not liking her cut is fairs, I was pretty attached to her longer hair too but I'm not gonna act like this development came out of nowhere

No, it very much should NOT have.

I know this is hard for yuri fans to grasp, but yuri isn't the only important thing in any manga ever.

This manga has always been about godly art, subtly complex and vivid emotional content, character analysis and development, and slices of life ranging all the way from ridiculously fluffy to terrifyingly dramatic. The relationship between Komichi and Erika might've been the only thing that ever mattered to yuri fans, but it was never even close to the only thing the manga's about.

There are so many more stories left to tell.

I am def happy author is keeping this rich and real and about everything. Tales of plain romance are everywhere already
