This was begun from the Wife's insecurity of ever growing loser husband to be a better person.
I mean, instead of being supportive and warm, she started to be cold, and the moment he felt his world expanding, she wasn't there, only Hizumi. I mean, she didn't bother with warmth of , "OMG I'm so sorry! I won't miss it next time!". No. She rejected him. Plain and cold. What for, Ma'am?

It's not like he wasn't reaching to her wife. All he got was a cold wind. Obviously, Hizumi wasn't enough. He wanted her wife the most. And when he found someone else, it was too late. It's just a snowball rolling. After all, he wasn't the one who slapped Hizumi and blame her. He just wanted her wife to be there for him. He did an affair after talking and spending time with Hizumi. He loved his wife, but if she didn't reciprocate, did he have just to take it just like that?

And does it mean it's Hizumi's fault that her ex cheated on her? It's just, her trauma of watching her parents divorce that makes her reckless at relationship, and wishing her man to stay awkward and without progress. It kinda happened again as her ex cheated for the different reason. His dad went away because he didn't find warmth anymore, and Hizumi's ex cheated because he realized something was wrong with Hizumi's approach.

So far, this might be the 2nd time Hizumi's effort with love, learning and applying what might work with what she've learned so far. Pretty manipulative but not enough to be yandere. As long as she's not as insecure as her Mother, I believe she'll have him right in her hand.

Sure, but here the idea of an "opinion" for a good chunk of those foreigners commenting is barking like retards going from wishing shit on the mangaka's family to acting like absolute manchildren screaming "She's used good now!" and variations of it. It's hilarious that you have people saying that the mangaka is mentally ill while acting this way.

And if you peep at some of their accounts you'll quickly see this is all they've been doing for years. Going after mangakas and artists to throw shit at them. An absolutely sad existence.
It is true that there are people with existential issues who do not know how to express an opinion respectfully, but publicly stating that "all those people should just pull the trigger" does not make you any saner than they.

How cute.
Anyway, I edited it but once again: they should all pull the trigger, they would make the world a better place.

NGL she's going down the route of being her mother. I always thought she was toxic for her bf but this backstory does not justify it at all.
But the bf has been a massive loser this entire time and any normal person would have broken up with her by now so I guess maybe it's a match made in heaven.
I guess the main difference is that she's watching her current bf like a hawk. I really don't get her appeal if I was the bf she probably would have been the ex that made me stop dating for years due to her verbal abuse.

Oh man, that's serious. Let's check the replies who are.... wait, why is their Japanese so unnatural? Let's check their Twitter accou- USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong, Spain, Thailand, "East Asia", "Europe", Taiwan, Vietnam, Switzerland, etc etc

Foreigners, especially Chinese, who are like 50% of the comments, aren't beating the allegations that they're incapable of reading a fictional story without projecting themselves into it, because in a chapter full of traumatic events, the only thing they care about and are angry about is “Muh virginity”

Funny enough, some of the actual Japanese comments, like this, or this, are more pissed at the first BF than anything else.
Oh yeah, China is in a league of its own when it comes to anything they could remotely interpret as NTR. They're more rabid than even the nuttiest dudes here on Mangadex.

See: how they handle gacha games like Blue Archive

Yeah, China going absolutely mental over anything they consider NTR isn't exactly new.
Reminds me of when the whole situation with Zom 100 and the doctor happened around chapter... 55 or something?

The author got flooded with rabid Chinese fans, and I mean actual outrage, thousand of replies, all going utterly insane for weeks. They weren't the only ones, but they were certainly the majority.

We've seen outrages recently, like with Grapara and now this, but nothing comes close to that. Dudes were posting coffins and wishing all kinds of evil on the author lol. I'm sure a few of them even tried to hit him with some Chinese curse or something.

That genuinely felt like people were going to go to the author's house to outright kill him.

Ok, so it may be a lot to ask from 3 chapters.

But Since we have proper designs for all key figures now.

1. Papá comes back to try and reconnect with Hizumi, but it doesnt work, his former affair is revealed and he and his works get cancelled/terrible press.

2. Izami continues to attempt to control Hizami Life but because she has no true bonds in her company and acted through self interedt and obsession, she is ousted from her conpany for Power Harrassment. Loses everything she worked so hard for and she and Papa are both at rock bottom. Papa gets to tell her how he felt due to her dismissal as he broadened his worl and you can make it wholesome but I need em to suffer so even after this lil catharsis nothing comes from it and they both are in the pits.

3. Sasori's new work gets popular and about to be adapted. Her and Shinbas mom tries to get a role in it only to realize she is blacklisted and her neglect of her kids is brought to light also.

4. Hizumi's ex realizes he had it good and looks for her, but gets hit by a truck. Orochi looks on.

5. Miyabi has a healthy Friendship with Shinba, and a Frenemyship with Hizumi. Shinba has managed to succeed but lives happily with his loved ones. There's probd a time skip to them having twins where one is super confident like Hizumi and the other Like Shinba and though paralleling the start, the implication is that they all will live happily unlike the past.

Orochi puts Shinba in a Dress again. Hizumi wears the wedding suit and Shinba the dress. The group id happy and all others responsible for the trauma suffer.

Poor Hizumi. Both her parents suck.
I find it interesting that despite nominally being the one with the pants on, Izami was only ever able to deal with issues by hinting in a passive-aggressive way. It shows where Hizumi got it from, but also why that doesn't work longterm - if the other person doesn't give a shit about you, they'll just plow on, and even if they do care, nothing gets truly resolved. At the end of the day both her parents were immature people - likely why they found each other - and refused to acknowledge a changing situation, not caring a lick if the fallout landed on their daughter.
They're basically fair-weather parents.

This didn't come out of nowhere, We've been getting hints since the start. It also took time to properly show us how things developed, that it wasn't just one thing, but many things over time until the final straw that broke the camel's back. It avoids moral absolutes, we see that neither side is without blame, it's not just black or white.
Agreed. In real life, relationships rarely go down the drain because of one dramatic issue, but at the same time it's very difficult to portray the "death of by thousand cuts" in fiction.

But this mangaka did it in the span of less than two chapters.

I liked the visual choices, how the author conveyed the passing of time and the degradation of the family dynamics. Very good use of the visual language too; in several instances, the page layout and the framing reminded me of some European and American comics, gave it a different kind of flavor.

Yes, no : I blame 99% of this on the Mom !! :pout:

She's the one who couldn't even PRETEND to be happy with her husband new growing succes, even when he was so eager to share it with her !! SHE is the one who pushed him away, not the other way around !!

Sure, the Dad parting words weren't the kindest but at least, he was still more honest at the end than the Mom ever was, without trying to sugarcoat the fact he was openly abandoning his daughter for a better life...

Also, Page 31 really hurts in a personal way when you recall giving too much to someone who left you... :angery:

Wow her parents are terrible. If they just sat down and talked things out it could have all been prevented
No matter how busy you are, You make time for those you love even if you are late, they didn't want to make that time and made excuses, it started because of the mom but the dad became worse too

How the heck is this going to end? Is hizumi going to kill herself
I think mc will change, but he won't leave her, she has to grow into understanding that not because it happened with her dad it'll happen with mc, her world view is broken from all the stuff she suffered from, let the mc heal her

Wow. Just wow.

So much to talk about here. Where do I even start?
Okay, first, her dad. Erm...he changed too much? In the end he looks like sleazy film director, and it's, erm, slightly unbelievable. What's even more unbelievable is that he left his daughter. I mean, his wife is meh but he actually loved daughter. To put it rudely, I understand why he got an affair, but I don't understand why wouldn't he at least try to take his daughter with him (I know, I know, it'd pose multiple different problems, but still). It's like, I don't know, he became inhumane or something.
As with her first boyfriend...hrm, Hizumi became desperate. To love unconditionally and be so clingy... I'd rather believe that she became apprehensive and stopped trusting men than this. It's especially jarring after she cut ties with Orochi. I'd rather she dated her than...that. I mean, men can't be trusted.
All in all, this is just a roller coaster clusterfuck royale. I can't say any more than "poor, poor people".

P.S. I want p.31 in color

The "past doesn't matter" crowd weird me out a bit, but so does the "she has to be a virgin" crowd. It's ok to have a preference, but to disparage a manga just because the FMC is not a virgin is peak fedora behavior.

yeah it's weird, sometimes you have to ignore their past, care more about what they want to become or can become, and it's only a 1 body count
