Airi is a kind-hearted person but also naive so she misunderstood the prince's attention as affection. But it's good that she realized her mistakes and learned from it, eventhough I can understand her dismay of inequality.

Now that she sees the corruption or stark inequality of the church, it's really good that she has a new goal: to achieve the equality that she's striving for. I hope that in the epilogue that she can "clean" the church.

I really like this series and the different perspectives.especially like seeing how no one is really bad, just different views on life and ideals. But also willing to grow. Nice stuff
I guess you could call Orvo as the only bad person here...

Didn't treat her fiancee right, wanting to be with another woman even if he already has one, then lashes out at his lil bro when his fiancee got snatched.

Yeah hmm, the second half of Airi's perspective where we were supposed to see her mend relations was kind of skipped over huh.

I guess they want to focus more on her actually reforming the church but if the next chapter is just already the epilogue then the central character of this entire story just doesn't actually get to have her side shown the same way everyone else did.

I wonder if her Mum will play any further significance in her story, or if the mother was just used as an example of someone she doesn't wish to be; someone who just mopes around and doesn't take any action. :thonk:

So there are some slight changes from the WN

In the WN, Aini has already graduated when she joined the church. Thats when she learn that churchs dont treat people the same, she meet Berna who was already an official and got advice from her then instead during the school graduation party
.
But I actually like the manga direction more since Aini is still a student and she has more chance of enhancing her knowledge before actually becoming a Saint. This also gives better perspective on how she actually manage to change things for the better conpared to WN which only consist of 1 chapter afaik

I glad she is improved. I am tired about story like "Heroine" is real evil, she just ignorant or more bluntly stupid. But at least she know how to correct her mistake instead refusing to grow. This time she isn't only one who in fault but people around her too.

just the fact that she’s not some isekaied gamer or a one dimensional antagonist makes this so refreshing, this genre tends to rely on tropes way too much so the subversion in this series so far has been nice
Honestly I wouldn't put this in the same category as the isekai otome series. This is just straight up an otome fantasy novel where the player just coasted thrue the choices and got the positive non-romantic ending.

I do think some of the development in terms of relationship mending is abridged… but I suppose as half the ppl never really saw Aini as anything resembling a threat, once she played by their rules and didn’t step out of line, she wouldn’t be much trouble at all, would she…? Just a pawn as she’s always been.
Really conflicted about the end. I am fully on her side in terms of reforming how the church operates. It is kind of galling that she is kind of the only one who seems to actively take an interest in direct social change instead of the prince who’s just like “of course the bastard daughter was treated as a servant, wasn’t she born to a servant?” like omg I still want to curse him out so bad for that. Happy for her, truly, but since she starts out kind of antagonistic, I feel like it’s not good for the story that her circumstances are making our other heroines look bad!

Go look at the palaces in rome and the private apartments built every decade or so not too dissimilar it's the main reason i despise the catholic church they have close to 73b in hard currency and an easy trillion in assets yet go look around any normal church housing and they look like they are out of the 70's. well i say main the list of abuses done by the catholic church seems unending...

"I'll create the place I envision on my own"

You know what Aini, I respect that. Especially if it means those kids at the orphanage and the lower ranked clergy will be able to be treated with more dignity and fairness. (Also justice for the teeth of all of the people having to eat black bread, that stuff is supposed to be hard as a rock)
