Seems like it, most of the story seems rushed too much because of probably short deadlines

I don't get why they couldn't just kept it with her liking MC because if she is gonna get rejected either way why did they just made it so she's into FMC instead and also into seeing her cry?

Not what I expected, but I am glad the uninteresting male MC isn't the focal point in this love triangle. But it certainly didn't feel like this was planned since long ago. Maybe the author was reminded who the actual protagonist (Hachi) is and suddenly hit the brakes on the harem ending?

Yeah this sudden turn feels weird. In the festival chapter, Kanna-nee said that supposedly Shiorin is scared that Hachi is taking Tooru away from her and her behavior kinda implies that too. Now even Kanna-nee seems to have known that Shiorin likes Hachi. Was that just a translation error in the festival chapter or did the author really retconned it?

Hachi was feeling conflicted so the author removed the conflict from her so that she didn't have to make any decisions herself or have anything to feel bad about.

I'm not claiming you couldn't be right, but when you look back at this series, did it ever give an impression of solid, logical progress, causality, or intelligent twists? Tooru never showed pretty much any emotions, ever, aside from being annoyed by all the girls in his life, aside from the eccentric gamer girl (Mii?). So, nothing can be based on Tooru's behavior. The girls were all, without an exception, pretty strange and unpredictable. So, even this twist out of nowhere is actually consistent with the general inconsistency and immateriality of the story.
