Despite being the most immature at the start she became more mature than a certain two others.
The fact she's starting to take real action because of the unfair treatment rather than doing fantasy is nice too

It’s funny that while there were ranks in the academy, the contrast wasn’t as big and as disgusting as in the cathedral. And yep, if there’s a place that is worth fighting for equality, it IS the church.

That's because the ones at the academy were already screened: there's only nobility there...

So there are some slight changes from the WN

In the WN, Aini has already graduated when she joined the church. Thats when she learn that churchs dont treat people the same, she meet Berna who was already an official and got advice from her then instead during the school graduation party
.
But I actually like the manga direction more since Aini is still a student and she has more chance of enhancing her knowledge before actually becoming a Saint. This also gives better perspective on how she actually manage to change things for the better conpared to WN which only consist of 1 chapter afaik

Generally manga adaptions of wn tend to expand and act as a second or third draft depending on if there's an LN between. Which is good because you get to fix things like this.
Which is why understanding the premise of this series is that confrontation and the POVs and backstories of nearly everyone involved and the aftermath makes it a nice premise to make an adaption of because you can expand.
