I don't think this series can even reach 30% of moto total chapter ...this series depends much on minor drama and walk around it only ...doubt any good developments after both become couple

I'd say it's perfectly in character. We've seen him mellow out with the chuuni stuff around his friends and classmates but Jin is a stranger. A tall, handsome stranger who was talking to his girlfriend. At this point of the main story he's still dealing with all of his insecurities and testing stress so him regressing makes sense.
