From what was shown with that bath scene it points to Alex being male.
But because of Alex's usual behaviour itself and the way Alex's face is drawn I simply cannot believe it.

The only reason there was any debate about Alex being the same or not is the fact they've been bathing together. So there was some possibility of him legit being a dude, but at this point it's also obvious Alex is just a girl using some genderbend magic for political reasons or whatever.
