As much as i like the story, the combination of smart at everything but dense in relationships is killing me, maybe because i am expecting communication or some sense of reflection but holy hell. Still gonna try the wn and see how it is. Its not even like oh he doesnt like me like that that i dont care happens often enough but lile for everything else the missmatch between setup/lore and character is just jarring

I forgot how much I enjoyed this series. Though I think I'm getting my villainess manga jumbled in my head because I could swear we already had Carol turn on Corina and decide to be good to Avril and had all the drama with her family and the terrible finances already completely sorted out.

Still super happy to see it get revived though. And by a solid translator to boot.

I recommend it. And am really thankful for the good translated chapters.

The misunderstanding airhead aspect gets better, there's no way it can't, but that obviously undermines the initial gimmick. From there it sort of alternates the character dramas with the investigation-mystery genre. One of those series where "villainess" usually means nothing. Sometimes Avril's flowerheaded+detective+polymath stuff is plausible and clever, usually at least 1 of the 3 is somehow absurd.

I like it despite how inconsistent the suspension of disbelief is.
