It doesn't. This is as rare as polygamy couples out on the wild. Having this many of them in close proximity like this is what makes this story a fantasy aka hentai based adaptation. There is no logic to it. That's why it tries to convince you every 3 chapters with lengthy dialog. We had it in just 2 chapters ago with FMC and Murata and now with boss and Murata. This manga is astonishingly low stakes and it's because the author wants to bump his OCs against each other and that's what it's all about.
On a more serious note, I mentioned in the last chapter that the characters characterize romance as very stuffy and use FWB as a way to get that satisfaction while being fairly friendly instead of romantic. I think this probably works for lots of people, but it seems to neglect that 1. Romances are often rooted in a friendship, and 2. Friendships are kind of romantic. They're different, of course. But there's something devotional about having friends, even non sexual ones, which is kind of romantic.
This manga, however, will not be dealing with this because it is not interested in it, and that is fine. There's a lot of complexity to human relationships and not every work has to dive into all of them, but this is about a handsome but otherwise pretty mundane guy fucking his hot gamer girl friend and his cute moé boss.
Knew it was slop from first 3 chaps, the thing about ocs is 100%, feels like tumblr fanfic. This manga is astonishingly low stakes and it's because the author wants to bump his OCs against each other and that's what it's all about.

I thought this was the H version… Have a link?Finally.
also people who want more from the pitch of the two MCs fucking other people, read the H-version, you’ll be satisfied.
That's fair. I think there's something to be said about romance or like a devotional care being emergent from friendship rather than the institutional script of romance (which is what Murata and Tomoka say their issue is) but the conversations always just affirms their initial perspective, even if each character has a vaguely different reason for not wanting to be in a 'traditional' romance. It doesn't. People are saying that they are communicating etc. but they are not. They are already in agreement from the get go. They are trying to convince you so author wouldn't have to write what would really happen eventually because at it's core, this is a harem hentai. Harem part is the only difference from the original source.
This is a case of a premise revolving around the characters instead of the usual other way around. Like said previously, it is just the author having his OCs have sex no strings attached and only the characters with the exact same outlook on relationships can even show up, let alone joining the fray. Even if they appeared to be different at the start, they will arrive at the same conclusion with like 3 minutes of dialog regardless (like the boss). Because it's totally common for bunch of friends or even colleagues to fuck each other and be even happier when their partner fuck others (in case of FMC in couple of chapters). If this was realistic, there would be a possibility of conflict and that goes against the setup.
Imashita doesn't want to deal with the heartbreak of a relationship ending, so the way that they've been talking leads you to believe that maybe a close sex friend is the 'solution' to this for the time being, but just a sex friend doesn't really provide all of the care that a relationship does, but in this manga nobody has real problems. A good friend could do many of these emotional fulfillment things (it's why I call friendships romantic). She's a unicorn, based on what I've seen, so her bases end up being covered between Murata and Tomoka - and that I think could be possible, but Imashita, leading up to this, has wanted a romantic relationship, so... There's something about this trio of friendships that is romantic and unrealistic.
It's why the manga has the characters perform romance via these very comfortable cozy naturalistic conversations in intimate domestic environments to demonstrate how compatible they are beyond sex again and again and again, but also spend 10-20 pages every other chapter explaining why this is different, actually. It is wish fulfillment. There's no drama regarding these decisions or emotional stakes that would be involved, even if we ignore that sex often leads to that drama, there's still like. Friend fights or not being as compatible as you thought.
I guess 'i think this works for a lot of people' is wishful thinking thinking on my part, since I think it could even if it wouldn't really be as frictionless as in this manga, and obviously romantic emotions springing up from this would be normal, they just don't have to be suffocating. But that requires effort on the part of the participants, and it's very easy in this manga.
I do think that jealousy and the sort of institutional scripts of romantic relationships that they complain about can emotionally undermine romance, so thoughtfully unshackling them from one another could be liberating for a lot of people, but that's not the same as a FWB, even if it could lead to more of those or more not quite open but 'monogamish' relationships.
Ok still, so is that a different manga and do you have a link? Because searching “Sleeping with her Chapter 42” brings up so much random shit since that’s a mad common phrase.here
sleeping with her is on chapter 42
