Oh this chapter got me GOOD. I'm constantly saying how amazing IruMafia is for following canon plotline beats with its own twists as well as taking the expectations of experienced readers and throwing them curveballs (a great example being how Iruma reacts to Kiriwo's despair talk in both versions) and they DEFINITELY got me again. With "If You Call His Name" being the chapter title and the focus being Sabnock and Azz, I was anticipating something similar to Harvest Festival with Iruma's name being Azz's grounding trigger word. I was NOT anticipating the same effect to be done for Iruma screaming out Azz's name (extra special for his first name use in this AU!) and mixing that same impact with Azz's dodgeball realization.
All in all, I am constantly amazed with the extra emotional punch that IruMafia Iruma/Azz brings to the table and it is SHINING in this one ;w;
