I had this rated as a 9 for some reason, presumably because it did a good job of building expectations. Now that its over I guess I will go back and read the last 10 chapters I had skipped over. Looks like sort of a meh ending though from skimming this final chapter. Landing the ending always tough and often a let down. You'd think an adaptation should have an easier time of it.

End of an ara. I'll miss these girls, it's a shame the later volumes will never get adapted, but I get doing that is always a huge gamble.
The manga either is successful enough to keep going without any interruptions, which is ideal, or, what tends to be the more common outcome with adaptations like this, it bombs and you have to axe it prematurely by bullshitting a resolution to the ongoing arc.
By ending here they at least give you a reasonable out where most of the pressing issues are resolved, while the more avid readers who want to know more about the threads left hanging can swap to the novel.

It's really sad to think that with how the ending of the manga played out that Euphie is now immortal and Anis will die of old age in about 80 years.

Adds a sort of bittersweet tragedy to the whole thing.

The manga and the anime both cover the first 3 volumes. The Official English edition of the LNs is at volume 9 which was released back in June.
