I honestly don't find the whole 'recommend me anything' conversation interesting.
I dunno, man, just read Doraemon then. The chapters have just finished being republished today.

And then continue to that infamous fan-made final chapter that fooled many into thinking it was the real final chapter, to the point where Shogakukan sued the creator.

Reading a Japanese article about last season's anime using the auto-translate page:
"...the top 3 recommended by the survey results were Funeral Freelen, Magical War, and The Pusher Child..."

Frieren and Jujutsu are obvious.

The Pusher Child... this one took me a second.

Just saw that a manga that almost made into my 10s list last year is getting an anime.

After watching the teaser,
well...

that looked like a 6 at most

A while ago, I realized that I had never actually read Kimagure Orange★Road in its entirety from start to finish.
When I was little, I'd just read whatever volumes my older sister had when she rented the comics.
So, earlier this month, I started rereading it from the beginning.

"The manga that set the standard for rom-coms in manga and anime," they say.

So, let's say... supposed..., hypothetically, a what-if situation,
you found your old locked hidden folder,
and in it you found some... gore videos form the ancient days of the Internet,
the wild west of the Internet, the free and lawless days

would you delete it?

Another drunk talk with the boys
"... yeah, everything is copy-paste now. You know what? There's a hentai (doujin) that plagiarized another hentai that I liked..."

me:

I don't want to go down to that rabbit hole, let's call it a night, shall we?

Slight whiplash from reading an old manga

Previously, as with Kaze Hikaru,
I really wanted to create a thread just to write down my experiences reading a particular manga.
Not necessarily a review, but more like word vomiting my conflicted and confused feelings and emotions that messed up my brain while reading it.
Things that went beyond just whether the manga was good or not, beyond its story or art style.
When things that I like are mangled and jumbled with things I don't.

Then I thought about it more.

Coding something, run the code.
Meanwhile, Imma go get some ice cream from the fridge.
Error notification, put the ice cream on the desk.
Squashing some quick bugs, run again.
Checking manga updates.
Reading a few new chapters.
Browsing YouTube.
Oh, what's this on my desk?

...

Fuck.

Too tired. Bought food without reading the name carefully. Just grabbed whatever was on evening clearing sale.
Oh, how I regret it.

Okay, I know I just gave my best read for the week yesterday, but I really wanted to get this out there sooner rather than later.
Uchikirare Mangaka to Doujin Onna is pretty fun.
The story is also quite timely to current events. Although the focus here is more on the fun parts.
IRL, the situation is more complicated, as far as I know.

I thought this was just a one-shot, but it turned out to be serialized.

Several anime this season have already finished. I'm 2-3 episodes behind on some of them.

Last week, I decided to raise Tsumiki's score, making it the newest entry on my 10/10 list.
It surpassed another series I thought would be on the list first.

And I just realized that the number of manga on my 10s list is back up to 20.
Such a silly thing to get excited about, I know.
But I like a nice, round, divisible number.

And after last year's so underwhelming run, considering some of the ongoing series,
there's a good chance I'll see more additions to that special list this year.

Someone says that reading manga requires less braincells than watching anime.
So I told them em that you can watch anime while drunk.
In fact, some anime are even more fun to watch while drunk.
Try getting drunk while reading a book.
